Tour organization

The EU-Canada Study Tour and Internship Programme 2011 – "Thinking Canada" is an initiative of the European Network for Canadian Studies, a body grouping all of Europe's national and regional Canadian Studies associations, in cooperation with the European Commission. The ENCS aims to coordinate and contribute to Canadian Studies activities in Europe, foster cooperation between European and Canadian scholars and contribute to the development of a new generation of European Canadianists.

The Advisory Committee for the EU-Canada Tour and Internship Programme 2011 consists of the following members:

● Serge Jaumain, ENCS Coordinator; Director, North American Studies Centre, Free University of Brussels (ULB)

● Don Sparling, Treasurer, Central European Association for Canadian Studies (Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic)

● Jean-Michel Lacroix, Ex-President, French Association for Canadian Studies; Director Emeritus, Canadian Studies Centre, Paris III / Sorbonne Nouvelle

● Ed Lavalle, Chair, Academic Coordinating Committee, Network for European Studies (Canada), Capilano University, North Vancouver

● Alexandre Berlin, Honorary Director, European Commission

The actual organization of the study tour is the responsibility of Don Sparling (Executive Director), Ed Lavalle (Co-Director, Programme in Canada) and Alexandre Berlin (Co-Director, Europe Programme/Canada Liaison and internship programmes).

The final decisions on participants in the tour as well as recipients of the internship positions will be taken by the EU-Canada Study Tour Selection Committee, made up of Don Sparling, Jean-Michel Lacroix, and Alexandre Berlin.
